Ethernet
:: Ethernet, or connecting through the network, represents the best option
in terms of proving real time information to management. Log Ins and Log
Offs are immediately captured and the information available to users/management
is in real time. Multiple company locations can be connected through a
company’s virtual private network. For those companies, that have
a company wide network, all Log In and Log off times are in real time.
For
a company with a single location that is connected by a network, all hardware
devices tied to the network record Log In and Log Off times in real time.
Multiple devices like touch screens, card swipe readers, traditional time
clocks and biometric devices can be connected together.
Phone
Modem :: For those companies that are not on a company wide network,
and can not place computers near time clock hardware devices, Tick Tock
offers hardware devices that connect via a company’s phone modem.
By connecting card swipe readers, traditional time clocks or biometric
devices to a phone line, Tick Tock can be configured to automatically
retrieve Log In and Log Off information at specified intervals without
user intervention.
Serial
Cable
:: For companies that are not on a network, yet can place computers near
a time clock device, users can utilize touch screens, card swipe readers,
traditional time clocks and biometric devices by directly connecting time
clock devices to a computer. The local computer then records all Log In
and Log Off times.
